VS138X Handheld Acoustic Camera
Handheld 138-channel, 2–100 kHz acoustic imaging with leak and partial-discharge analysis.

Wide-band frequency selection
Select frequencies within 2–100 kHz to help distinguish target sources from background noise.Leak analysis
Leak detection and loss estimates support maintenance prioritization when combined with site pressure and operating conditions.Partial-discharge analysis
PRPD analysis and tip, surface, floating-discharge and noise classifications support subsequent diagnosis.VS138X inspection capabilities
VS138X is a handheld acoustic imager for gas-leak and electrical partial-discharge surveys. Its 138 MEMS microphones acquire signals across 2–100 kHz and overlay sound-source locations on a 13 MP visible-camera image. The instrument weighs less than 1 kg for mobile inspections across multiple locations.
An integrated laser rangefinder records target distance. Leak-loss estimates, PRPD classification and spectral analysis support interpretation of detected signals. Offline analysis, report preparation, photos, video, voice and text notes connect the equipment location and inspection conditions with each finding.

Designed for real inspection work
The capabilities that matter in the field are brought together in one inspection platform.
138-channel acoustic array
An array of 138 MEMS microphones acquires acoustic signals and overlays source locations on the visible image.
Wide-band frequency selection
Select frequencies within 2–100 kHz to help distinguish target sources from background noise.
Leak analysis
Leak detection and loss estimates support maintenance prioritization when combined with site pressure and operating conditions.
Partial-discharge analysis
PRPD analysis and tip, surface, floating-discharge and noise classifications support subsequent diagnosis.
Laser distance measurement
An integrated 0.1–20 m laser rangefinder records target distance and supports inspection setup.
On-device review and reporting
Review acoustic data, photos and video and prepare inspection reports on the device, including offline use.
Multiple annotation types
Add text, voice, image and tag annotations to associate findings with equipment and location.
Wireless connectivity and power
Dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and USB support connectivity, with Type-C PD and dock charging.
Typical applications
Compressed-air leaks
Locate ultrasonic leak sources at fittings, hoses, valves and pipes, then document conditions before and after repair.
Electrical partial discharge
Localize acoustic emissions around switchgear, insulation and connections, using PRPD information for further review.
Petrochemical and process facilities
Inspect valves, flanges and accessible pipelines for leak sound sources and correlate findings with operating conditions.
Mechanical noise investigation
Use sound-map overlays to locate abnormal noise regions and save records for subsequent analysis.
A complete workflow from access to decision
Confirm target and distance
Select band and scan
Locate and review the source
Save images and annotations
Recheck after maintenance
Technical Specifications
This model combines acoustic and visible imaging and does not include the VS138XH thermal specifications. Detection distance, leakage sensitivity and localization accuracy depend on test conditions. Loss estimates require inputs appropriate to the actual operating conditions.
